SIMS Games by EA Games!!~Sim Agents Review and Sims Africa Giveaway!

In a family of gamers I've seen the amazing evolution of games and game nights in the past several years. It's of course apparent to everyone that there has been an incredible shift from traditional board games alone to the new interactive electronic gaming systems. And perhaps the greatest changes to family gaming arrived when technology developed gaming systems like the Wii, adding the more physical interaction which had been lacking before.

One of the leaders in gaming software has been EA Games and EA Sports! EA Games continues to create games that appeal to everyone in the family. And as proof of this they sent me three fabulous new Wii titles to review which appeal to all three of my children. I decided I would first review my 9 year old son's favourite {and admittedly a favourite of my husband and myself} MySims Agents.

We have always been fans of a great adventure, mystery detective work, and solving puzzles so we are definitely in the MySims Agents target audience! Players of the game become MySims secret agents on a mission to foil the plans of the dastardly and corrupt villainous CEO Morcubus. If you've dreamed of going undercover to solve mysteries and challenging puzzles, catch sinister criminals with high tech gadgets, and explore exotic lands you can do it all in this new MySims adventure!Form your own team of agents by recruiting a variety of MySims characters. Then send your team out on missions involving the basics of all detective work: interviewing witnesses, searching for clues, and even analyzing evidence through forensic puzzles! As you solve more and more cases you will soon find you have access to a whole new arsenal of technology including your own harrier jet! Disguises, clues, hacking, and lock-picking, playing this game makes you feel like a real secret agent. After building a Head Quarters you will start to find treasures to update and customize HQ after each successfully completed mission.

I am a huge supporter of games that require problem-solving, wit, and skill. Though I believe the adage everything in moderation and I am careful to limit video game play to a reasonable level, I love when games are created with sharpening ones mental acuity in mind. MySims Agents is one of those games which I can't help but enjoy my son's interest in. The problem-solving and thinking skills required keep my husband and I just as enthralled as my 9 year old son and just as intent on piecing together each puzzle, solving each mystery, and completing each mission! MySims Agents does require reading skills so I recommend this game for ages 8 and up but with the help of an adult or older child even my 5 and 7 year old enjoy the challenge.
