I was a bit skeptical about the claim that these three logs would perform for so long while producing a cleaner burn than regular firewood. I was wrong to be a skeptic of a company with 40 years experience in the business! A minus thirty degree Celsius day this week presented the perfect opportunity for me to test the Stax logs I received free for review. Chilled to the bone I eagerly opened the stax bags, set two Stax logs in the fireplace and lit the bags. Immediately I had a glowing fire which burned hot for approximately two and a half to three hours before I added the third. No kindling, no mess! Six logs lasted all afternoon and through the early evening.
My favourite aspect of these logs was how cleanly they burned. They threw off the heat of real wood, and crackled like regular firewood yet produced minimal smoke and ash. I typically cart in a large bin full of wood for an evening of firelight and warmth but Duraflame Stax maintained the same with two small manageable packages of logs!
Stax logs are designed to be used more than one log at a time and are manufactured to be used in a wood stove, fireplace, or outdoors. Simple, eco-friendly, and clean burning but with the traditional ambiance, heat, and romance of a fire of seasoned firewood.
Five American Northern Mama readers now have the opportunity to test Duraflame Stax stackable, crackling firelogs for themselves!
