Ecousable Review and Giveaway!

Stainless Steel water bottles are becoming more and more popular as environmental concerns have finally begun to be heard amidst the current economic crisis. One of the most precious elements on earth is water and as we continue to pollute our environment we contaminate that which is most necessary to our very existence. It is the fear of this contamination which has driven more and more people to desert their tap water for purchased bottled water. As I have mentioned in previous reviews no one should think that bottled water is better protected or safer than tap water and the environmental impact plastic bottles creates is a carbon footprint that cannot be excused by making drinking choices lightly.

Many people feel safe with their home water supply so long as it has been filtered. What if you could carry that security with you in a stainless steel reuseable water bottle? Ecousable now provides you with just that, filtered water on the go! The ech2o is an amazing development in reuseable water bottle design and technology. Imagine a convenient stainless steel bottle with a built in Ionic-Adsorption Micro-Filtration System which removes 99.99% of contaminants and is EPA approved! What contaminants does this filter remove?
~Biological pathogens as cryptosporidium, giardia, and other cysts and spores
~Chemical contaminants including toxic chemicals, detergents, pesticides and other harmful industrial and agricultural waste
~Dissolved solids as heavy metals
~Unpleasant taste, odour, chlorine, sediment and dirt
I find our 18 oz. ech2o filtered water bottle to be light weight and ergonomically shaped for ones hand. I love that my son can take it to camp and fill it from whatever water source available and be safe from most harmful contaminants! These are fabulous for travel and and outdoor activities and could even be used as emergency survival bottles if required. The filter lasts for up to a full year and filters up to 100 gallons of water. The top is a fantastically easy to use flip straw and when the filter needs replacing you can purchase a new one. This bottle retails for $44.99 US but replaces up to 757 half liters of bottled water.
Ecousable also carries traditional stainless steel bottles in 10, 16, and 33 oz sizes. All their bottles are BPA-free, non-leaching and eco-friendly. These bottles come in a wonderful array of vibrant colours and graphic designs. We received the Red 33 oz Ecouseable stainless steel bottle and it is incredibly tall! I love the size because our family consumes a great deal of water and carries reusable water bottles everywhere. I actually have to remove the top to fit the bottle upright in our refrigerator. The 16 oz is probably ideal for most people for regular use. These bottles have a screw off cap with carabeener but you can also purchase a sport cap if you wish.
All Ecousable bottles come with a free water wrap! The bottle wrapz are large elasticized bands that can be slid onto the bottle. These wraps make it easier to grip the bottle and keeps your hand from becoming cold. They can also add style!
Eager to try an Ecouseable bottle for yourself? Two Northern Mama readers will have this opportunity!
::The first winner will receive their very own ech2o 18 oz. Metallic Copper Filteration Bottle {a $44.99 US value}.
