You Sank My Battleship...but can you save your stranded crew member?

My family of five is a family of gamers! We hold regular game nights in our household and board games play a large part in how we bond as a cohesive family. My husband and I spend many an evening {when the children finally fall asleep} playing our favourite games together, laughing and sharing in a leisure activity we both enjoy. I think it makes us a stronger couple! Discovering new games and twists on old classics is something that excites us all! Hasbro is a leader in creating new and innovative games but also is improving old favourites to extend the experience and keep games fresh and entertaining for a new generation of board game lovers.

One of our favourites has always been Battleship. Strategic, yet always mired in luck Battleship is a game for ages 7 and up in which you must determine the co-ordinates of your opponents ships in order to sink them before yours are "hit and sunk"! Sometimes exciting, sometimes frustrating this game has my kids jumping for joy.

My husband and I enjoy the improvements as compared to the original Battleship version. New unusually shaped ships make determining their location more difficult and because they can now be placed diagonally as well and vertically and horizontally this tactical combat game poses an even greater challenge. This latest game version is no longer played solely on water. Once you have sunk all your opponent's ships you now have to rescue a lost crew member from a desert island. Ultimately, this gives your opponent time to catch up!

This latest Battleship game has a cutting-edge double sided board which allows you to remove the grid at the end of the game to determine how close your opponent came to winning and gives you a visual comparison of your ships and their positioning. The double sided board adds a completely different dimension to the game.
