David Baldacci: True Blue --> Review and Giveaway.

True Blue is the first David Baldacci book that I have read, and I dare say that this will not be the last!

David Baldacci is the author of seventeen previous New York Times bestsellers. With his books published in over 40 languages in more than 80 countries, and with 90 million copies in print, he is one of the world's favorite storytellers.

David's novels cover themes as diverse and contemporary as coming of age in Wish You Well, the power of global markets in Total Control, the expertise of special ops teams in Last Man Standing, and the hidden treasures and perils of the nation's clandestine intelligence services in Simple Genius.

Career wise, how many of us have known exactly what we want to be? For Mace Perry, that always has been and always will be -- a police officer. Problem is, she will be getting out of prison shortly after two years for an offence she was framed for. That means, no more police work for her, or does it?

The setting is Washington, D.C. With police blood racing through her veins --her sister is the Chief of the D.C. police, and her father used to walk the beat too--Mace sets out to find a way to clear her name.

Before she can even get to that business, Mace meets Roy Kingdon. Roy has just discovered a murdered partner at his law firm. This murder,and its investigation is sure to draw any reader into this page turner mystery. What will happen, will Mace get back on the force? Will she and Roy survive the investigation? To find out, pick up this must-read and try to set it back down before finding out the conclusion.

The character development is excellent, and the research of police investigations and protocol poignant. Baldacci's thoroughness, and understanding of the law from his personal experiences shines through. An excellent read that I thoroughly enjoyed. Hopefully this will be the first of many books with these characters!!
