Duraflame Stax ~ The Eco-friendly Choice for Firelogs!

My favourite winter moments are those spent lounging in front of a blazing fire, basking in its warmth and dreamily experiencing the calm of flickering flames and crackling wood. Duraflame, a family-owned company, has created Stax to make your winter fire experiences even more enduring! Duraflame Stax makes fire starting simple, mess-less, and long lasting. Touted as the next generation of fire a Stax 3-log pack burns better than a typical 5-6 log bundle of firewood and is perfect for an enchanting evening‘s fire. Duraflame Stax logs are a fire log hybrid consisting of recycled wood fiber and agricultural biomass blended with non-petroleum bio-waxes and plant oils. Duraflame logs are made from 100% recycled and renewable resources.

I was a bit skeptical about the claim that these three logs would perform for so long while producing a cleaner burn than regular firewood. I was wrong to be a skeptic of a company with 40 years experience in the business! A minus thirty degree Celsius day this week presented the perfect opportunity for me to test the Stax logs I received free for review. Chilled to the bone I eagerly opened the stax bags, set two Stax logs in the fireplace and lit the bags. Immediately I had a glowing fire which burned hot for approximately two and a half to three hours before I added the third. No kindling, no mess! Six logs lasted all afternoon and through the early evening.

My favourite aspect of these logs was how cleanly they burned. They threw off the heat of real wood, and crackled like regular firewood yet produced minimal smoke and ash. I typically cart in a large bin full of wood for an evening of firelight and warmth but Duraflame Stax maintained the same with two small manageable packages of logs!

Stax logs are designed to be used more than one log at a time and are manufactured to be used in a wood stove, fireplace, or outdoors. Simple, eco-friendly, and clean burning but with the traditional ambiance, heat, and romance of a fire of seasoned firewood.
